This meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month

Agenda

• 6:20 PM Arrive/Setup

  • This is typically when we have access to our room and attendees can set up

  • It’s highly encouraged that this be when volunteers fill out their weekly contribution logs

• 6:35 PM Project Standups and New Volunteer Onboarding

  • Here, each project splits off and does a short standup. In the standup, each volunteer briefly goes over their contribution log. The allotted time is a little longer here to coordinate demos for the next agenda item.

  • While project standups are happening, organizers will meet with new volunteers to collect contact info and give them a high-level overview of Open SGF.

• 6:45 PM Project demos

  • Here, any volunteer is welcome to demo what they’ve worked on over the last month. No demo is too small! If you made a contribution, it’s likely worth demoing

  • These demos also help prepare a higher level demo for the following week with other project stakeholders.

    • If it is known at this time that something can be demoed in front of stakeholders, make sure to reach out to an organizer so that they can invite them to the next week’s meeting

    • It’s also an option to record these demos and they can be sent to stakeholders asynchronously

• 7:15 PM Project Retros

  • Here, volunteers take a critical look at the project over the past month. They discuss as a group what’s been going well and what needs to change

  • If a project is small enough, an organizer may need to work with the volunteer(s) to accomplish this

  • There is an available Retro Template to run these meetings
